Interference...

C. S. Lewis once commented that all he wanted was to avoid interference. In his own words, "I had always wanted, above all things, not to be interfered with. I had wanted — mad wish — to call my soul my own. I had been far more anxious to avoid suffering than to achieve delight." The wish was indeed ludicrous and was, thankfully, never realized. Yes, Lewis did achieve some suffering, but the delights far outweighed the suffering. Through subtle but strong hints of Joy God was interfering in the life of Lewis and gradually drawing him to Himself.
Such was the case for Paul. One minute he was happily out hunting Christians and the next minute a divine light interfered and changed his life forever. That is my wish, one which, I believe, unlike that of Lewis, is not mad. I want my life to receive as much divine interference as possible.
That is, hopefully, what this blog will be about - interferences. God interferes in my life on a regular and daily basis. Sometimes it is accomplished through such venues as nature, a sermon, a friend, a story, a book, a song, a devotional, a meditation, a discipline, or a trial. God chooses to interfere in any way He wants, but the sure thing is that it will be the best way. Sometimes it doesn't seem that way, and often enough it seems as if it were the worst timing, yet it is, without a doubt, the best. So, beware, for in this blog I will try to interfere in your life as well.
